i am 99% sure just writing and finishing one (1) single silly little fic will get me out of this funk but that is the problem. i can write neither the sillies nor anything short right now and it is killing me

Imo the whole problem w/ Eliott it wasn't about the leaked spoiler, even when there was the cheating theory going on, I feel it would've been on brand for him to do so. It's been shown that he's unapologetic about it through his actions in s3, 4, 5 & 6. He always founds a way to justify his cheating/lying. His logic about cheating in Arthur's season was gross as hell, & if you think you'll always want more & can never be satisfied then please stay alone instead of fucking people's self-esteem1/3

(2/3) He pretends to not know Idriss & make Lucas think he was just Imane's homophobic brother is 1 of the most fucked up things he did & it seems no one cares to held him accountable JUST BECAUSE HE'S HOT. There, I said it. All these Eliott apologists seem to have in common to want to jump his bones, so everything he says and does is okay. I have no problem with characters making mistakes, that's actually what makes them interesting & relatable 

(3/3) Him fucking up is not the problem to me. My issue is that he puts 0 effort in his relationships, he can lie/hide things/cheat but everything is ok because his gf/bf at the time still "stays". I'm not saying that Lucille or Lucas aren't at fault for this, you shouldn't allow people to treat you badly just because you love them. But it's even worse to take advantage of those feelings even if that's not your intention. Sorry for coming here to vent is just your blog feels like a safe place rn😩

It’s okay, anon! Don’t be sorry, everyone has a right to an opinion!!! As long as we all respect each other and different opinions, we’re good to go! 

That being said, I’m not sure if I agree completely with your opinion hahaha 

I feel like this about most Even’s: in one way or another, they let themselves feel all of it when they’re feeling good and when they’re passionate about something. That “something” being a person or their type of art. They probably felt so constricted in their previous relationships, with their relationships with the ones around them and also with their MI that when they find someone they love and that respected that side of them as well, they can get a little...inside their heads, feeling like the world is small for all the great things they can do and achieve because they’re in a better state of mind, but also with someone that truly sees them and respects them.  

To me, that’s what can happen to Eliott. I think he does put the effort in his relationships, but right now, I’m guessing he was so overwhelmed with college, with the opportunity to finally make a movie that he wrote and that he’s passionate about that he didn’t see how Lucas was feeling. 

He can be unapologetic at times because he probably feels like he had to be apologetic for far too long and now that he feels like himself with Lucas, he wants to enjoy this “freedom” that Lucas gives him. Because, in his head, I think Eliott is sure that Lucas is sure about them, about where Eliott’s heart is. And it’s not totally his fault, sure, he can’t read minds and Lucas is not really telling about all his insecurities, but to me, Lucas is showing in some small gestures or by not saying what he truly thinks (afraid to hurt Eliott’s feelings or to “be like Lucille”). 

I do think some people don’t hold him accountable for so many reasons that I just don’t get. But that’s the viewers’ fault or the writing team for not making some things very clear, but I don’t think this is the character’s fault. 

His logic about cheating in Arthur's season was horrible, yes, but so was Yann’s, Lucas’ and Arthur’s during that conversation at the hospital. All the boys should know from past or present experiences that cheating is not okay, it shouldn’t be how a relationship works. All of them said some pretty stupid shit about cheating. 

About Idriss, again, I don’t think he was thinking in the long run. He thought Idriss was in his past and he probably wanted to keep him there just so his past wouldn’t come to ruin his relationship with Lucas. He’s happy, he doesn’t want to think about the bad things that happened, about his past. Why worry about that if the present is so good, you know what I mean? 

To me: the kiss was still as awkward as it was when it was leaked, definitely wasn’t just a peck and definitely adds absolutely nothing to the movie, even less to the season, but it wasn’t a full-on cheating. It bothers me the age gap between the actors, it bothers me that’s just another unnecessary drama just because the writers needed to find a way (even a bad one) to make Eliott a part of the season. 

I don’t understand why he’s keeping (or kept) things from Lucas, important parts of who he is, of where he’s going late at night with a bunch of wild teenagers, suddenly with no other person to hang out with, but I guess I will have to be angry about it because it’s there, no matter how much I hate it and see no point in it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm honestly, while I realize that Kiri and Deku are on friendly terms, given canon I’d say if Kirishima needs to talk to anyone about stuff he’s gonna go to either Baku, Kami, Sero, Tokoyami or Mina, since those are the people we’ve seen him open up to, in canon! Same goes for Deku, if he gotta open up to someone it’s gonna be Iida, Todoroki or Uraraka :0 well, it’s not like it’s impossible for them to talk about it, but I can see it happen more in a possible future where they’ve grown closer than they are atm in canon! At least imho haha
